Your Boston Business Branding Session,
step by step
Spill the details
We’ll start with a quick call to map out your goals and how you plan to use your branding photos. Whether you’re launching something new, refreshing your website, updating social media, or creating marketing materials, we’ll make sure your images are built to support all of your needs.
We’ll talk through your brand personality, ideal audience, wardrobe, and the types of images you need, from lifestyle portraits and behind-the-scenes moments to product photography and team photos if needed.
We’ll choose the setting strategically based on your brand message. Your own workspace, whether that’s a yoga studio, law office, salon, or creative studio, can showcase your environment and team. A clean studio setup creates a polished, controlled look. Boston locations like the Seaport, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, the South End, or the Financial District can add texture, energy, or professionalism depending on the feel you want.
This is about more than looking good. It’s about building a visual identity that supports your business.
Lock it in
Securing your Boston Branding session is easy. A quick contract and a 75% deposit will hold your spot, and the remaining 25% is due the day before our shoot.

This is where we bring your brand to life. I’ll guide you through a mix of portraits, candid moments, and lifestyle setups that highlight not just you, but also your work, services, team, and products.

You’ll receive a private gallery with the strongest photos from the shoot within one week. Once you make your selection, retouched images will be delivered within five business days.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
I completely understand that life happens. Deposits and session fees are non-refundable, but I’m happy to offer a one-time reschedule session to a new date and time that works for both of us if you give at least 48 hours’ notice.

FAQ
What session package is right for me?
The Personal Branding Session (2 hours) is ideal if you’re a solo entrepreneur, podcaster, artist, or creative professional who needs a strong set of updated headshots and full-body images. It’s a focused session designed to create versatile portraits you can use for your website, social media, press features, or marketing materials. This session is centered on you and does not include product photography or team members.
The Half Day (4 hours) and Full Day (8 hours) sessions are more comprehensive and are designed to showcase both you and your business. These sessions can include team photos, product photography, and images of you working in your space. They’re perfect for small businesses and creative entrepreneurs who want lifestyle content, behind-the-scenes moments, and a full library of Boston branding images that tell the complete story of their brand.
If you’re not sure which Boston branding session fits your needs, I’m happy to help you decide during our initial call.
How often should I update my personal or business branding photos?
It is best to update your branding photos at least every two years. If your brand evolves, your look changes, or you launch a new product or service, updating sooner ensures your photos always reflect where your brand is today.
What should I wear for my branding session?
The key is to choose clothing that reflects your brand and the work you do. Solid colors usually photograph best and help keep the focus on you, but the style should match your profession. A chef might wear a crisp jacket, a yoga instructor may choose fitted activewear, and an artist could wear something comfortable but creative.
We will also coordinate your wardrobe with the location so your look either complements or stands out from the space. Avoid busy patterns, neon tones, or clothing with large logos that can distract from your message. Neutrals, jewel tones, and soft shades often work beautifully. For women, small and simple jewelry is best so it does not distract from the overall look. Bring a few options on hangers so they stay neat and ready to wear, and I will help you choose what fits your brand best.
If you or your team wear uniforms, that works perfectly too. We will style the session around them so the photos feel polished and professional.
Do I need professional hair and makeup for my session?
For women, professional hair and makeup are recommended unless you feel confident doing your own. The goal is to look polished, natural, and still like yourself. For men, makeup is not necessary, but a fresh haircut and a well-groomed beard or shave can make a big difference.
How long does a branding session last?
Your branding session length depends on the package you choose.
The Personal Branding Session lasts up to 2 hours and can take place in the studio or on location. It’s designed to create a strong set of updated headshots and full-body branding images in a focused, efficient timeframe.
The Half Day Session runs up to 4 hours and allows us to create a wider variety of content. This is ideal if we’re photographing you at your business, including team members, products, or lifestyle images that show you in action.
The Full Day Session gives us up to 8 hours to fully document your brand. With this option, we can capture multiple setups, more in-depth storytelling, team photos, product images, and a comprehensive library of visuals for your website, marketing, and social media.
How do I choose the right location for my branding shoot?
Your branding session can take place in the studio, at your place of business, or on location around Boston. The best choice depends on the look and message you want your photos to communicate.
A studio session creates a clean, polished, and controlled environment. It’s perfect if you want modern, versatile branding images with minimal distractions and strong focus on you.
Photographing you at your place of business adds context and personality. Whether you’re a yoga instructor in your studio, a lawyer in your office, a salon owner, or a creative working in your workspace, your environment helps tell your brand story and gives clients a glimpse into what it’s like to work with you.
On-location branding sessions around Boston can add texture, energy, and character. The Seaport offers a modern and architectural feel, Back Bay and Beacon Hill bring classic Boston charm, the South End adds warmth and brick detail, and the Financial District feels polished and professional.
Every setting creates a different visual message. Together we’ll choose the one that aligns best with your brand.
Do you help with posing?
Absolutely. You do not need to practice in the mirror or worry about what to do with your hands. I will guide you through poses, angles, and expressions so you look confident, natural, and authentic.
How do I book a branding session?
The best way to book your branding session is by cell, either call or text. If I do not respond right away, I am probably in the middle of a shoot, but I will get back to you as soon as I am free. You are also welcome to email me if that is easier for you.

Will you post my photos on social media or your website?
Most of my clients love being featured on my website or social media, but your privacy always comes first. If you prefer to keep your photos private, just let me know and I will gladly respect that.
Are appointments required for a session?
Yes, all sessions are by appointment. Each session is planned in advance so we can customize the setup, lighting, and style to match your goals. This ensures you get a professional experience that feels smooth, relaxed, and tailored to you and your business.
What forms of payment do you accept?
For your convenience, I accept all major credit cards, as well as Venmo and Zelle.
What are the booking and cancellation policies?
To reserve your headshot session, I’ll send over a simple contract and invoice for a 75% deposit to hold your date. Once those are taken care of, your spot is officially booked. The remaining 25% is due the day before your session.
Session fees and deposits are non-refundable. If something comes up, please let me know at least 48 hours in advance and I’ll gladly reschedule your session once to a new date that works for both of us.
What happens if it rains the day of the shoot?
If your branding session is scheduled outdoors and the weather does not cooperate, we will reschedule to a new date and time that works for both of us.
What happens if I am running late?
The most important thing is to keep me updated in real time. If your session is in the studio and I do not have another client right after you, I will do my best to adjust.
For outdoor sessions, timing is more limited since I schedule them around the best natural light. Arriving late may reduce your shooting time and affect the quality of light we can use. To avoid any stress, plan to arrive a few minutes early so you have time to settle in and relax before we start.
Do I own the rights to the images?
You’ll have full rights to use the photos from our branding session for your business and self-promotion. This includes your website, social media, marketing materials, online platforms, press features, email campaigns, and print. What you cannot do is sell the images for profit, transfer ownership, or provide them to a third party for commercial resale or separate licensing.
Do you travel outside of Boston?
Yes! I am happy to travel for sessions, and depending on the location there may be a travel fee.
How are the final images delivered?
You will receive a private gallery link to download the retouched images in high-resolution JPG format. The link will remain active for 30 days, so be sure to save and back up your photos in a safe place.
