How a pet photography session works
Sniff Out the Plan
First things first, I’ll chat with your human on the phone to plan your session. We’ll figure out if you’re more of an “Around the Block” city pup who loves strutting through Boston, or if you’re ready for The Full Treat session at home or on location. Your human and I will go over timing, location, and all the important details so all you have to focus on is looking cute. Best of all, I’m very good at convincing humans to pack plenty of treats.
Mark Your Spot
Once your human signs the contract and sends the 75% deposit, your photo session is officially reserved. The last 25% is due the day before your big photo adventure.
Strike a Paws
This is where the fun begins. I’ll guide you through a mix of playful moments, sit-and-stay poses, and action shots that capture your personality. The Around the Block session is all about you, so no humans stealing the spotlight. The Full Treat session gives us more time and even includes a few photos with your favorite humans. No modeling experience needed — just wag your tail, show off your best tricks, and be yourself.
Fetch the Photo
The Around the Block session gives you 30 minutes of stroll time in Boston and includes 10+ high-resolution, color-corrected digital images. Your private gallery link will be delivered within 1 week of your session.
The Full Treat session is a 90-minute adventure at your home or on location. You’ll get 50+ high-resolution, color-corrected digital images, plus a few shots of you and your favorite humans together. Your private gallery link will be delivered within 1 week of your session.
No Ruff Surprises
I know life with humans can be unpredictable. Deposits and session fees are non-refundable, but if your human gives me at least 48 hours’ notice, I’m happy to reschedule once to a new date that works for everyone. Your spot will still be safe for belly rubs, treats, and photos another day.

FAQ
Do I get the short walk or the full adventure?
Great question, pup. The Around the Block session is a 30-minute stroll in Boston with just you in the spotlight. You’ll get 10+ high-resolution, color-corrected digital images of your best strut, delivered in a private gallery within 1 week.
The Full Treat session is a 90-minute adventure at your home or on location. You’ll receive 50+ high-resolution, color-corrected digital images, and while the spotlight stays on you, I’ll also sneak in a few photos with your favorite humans. Your gallery link will be ready within 1 week of your session. Travel fees may apply, and location fees, if needed, are not included in the session price.
How long do I have to sit still?
As long or as little as you want, pup. The Around the Block session is a 30-minute outing focused just on you, perfect for showing off your best strut and playful spirit. The Full Treat session gives us 90 minutes for different looks, bandanas or bowties, and even a few cuddles with your favorite humans. Every Boston pet photography session is designed around your personality, whether you like to pose, play, or zoom.
Do I need to know tricks?
Nope, no tricks required. Sit and stay can be helpful, but I’ve worked with every kind of pup and always get the shots. Each Boston pet photography session is customized to fit your personality, whether you’re calm and cuddly or full of zoomies and bouncing off the walls.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my pet photography session?
Not much, pup. If you’ve got lots of energy, it helps if your humans take you for a nice long walk right before the session so you’re ready to shine. Other than that, just show up, wag your tail, and enjoy the treats, belly rubs, and attention. I’ll take care of the rest.
Will there be treats at my pet photography session?
Good question, pup. Treats are allowed, but we need to check with your humans first. I usually ask them to bring small treats or ones we can break into pieces so you do not eat too many and end up with a tummy ache. If they forget, I always carry extras such as Polka Dog treats and sugar-free peanut butter so you will still get rewarded for being such a good model.
What if I see a squirrel?
No worries, pup. Zoomies and distractions are totally expected. We will roll with it, take breaks if needed, and your human will help keep you close when things get exciting. And sometimes those distracted moments turn into the best photos, like a mid-zoomie blur or a full-on squirrel staring contest.
Can I bring my squeaky toy?
Yes, absolutely. Toys are a great way to show off your personality. Balls, squeakers, tug ropes, or even that floppy stuffed animal you carry everywhere are all welcome.
What should my human bring?
Treats, a toy, some water, and maybe a brush for last-minute fluffing. I will remind them to pack the good snacks, because if you strike a pose for a cookie we are guaranteed some frame-worthy shots. And if your human forgets something, I usually have extras on hand.
What if it rains on my big day?
No problem, pup. We will simply reschedule for a dry day so you can look your best without soggy paws.
What happens if my humans are running late?
If your humans are running late, the best thing they can do is keep me updated. For outdoor sessions, timing can be tricky since we chase the best natural light, so arriving late might mean a little less photo time. But that is okay, because I always make the most of the time we have together.
How do my humans book a session?
Easy, pup. Your humans can call or text me to book your pet photography session. If I do not answer right away, it probably means I am busy photographing another pup, but I will get back to them as soon as I am free. If they prefer, they can also email me.

Will you post my photos on social media or your website?
I know you are Instagram-worthy, pup, but only if your humans say it is okay. Most pups love showing off, but if your humans prefer to keep your photos private, I will gladly keep them just for you.
Do I need an appointment, or can I just show up wagging?
Yes, pup, you need an appointment. Every pet photography session is planned in advance so we can make it as fun and smooth as possible. Tell your humans to book ahead so everything is ready for your big day.
How do my humans pay for this?
Your humans can use all major credit cards, as well as Venmo or Zelle, to pay for your Boston pet photography session. No bones or squeaky toys accepted, sorry pup.
What are the booking and cancellation policies?
To save your spot, your human signs a contract and sends a 75% deposit. Once that is done, your Boston pet photography session is officially locked in. The last 25% is due the day before your photoshoot. Deposits and session fees are non-refundable. However, if your human gives me at least 48 hours’ notice, I am happy to reschedule once to a new date that works for everyone.
Do I own the rights to my images?
Yes! You (and your humans) will have full rights to use your photos for personal things like sharing on social media, printing, or making holiday cards with your adorable face on them. What you cannot do is sell them for profit or give them to a third party for commercial use. In short, your humans can show you off everywhere, but they cannot turn you into a dog food spokesperson without talking to me first.
Do you travel outside of Boston for pet photography sessions?
Yes! I am happy to travel for pet photography sessions outside of Boston. Depending on where the adventure takes us, a travel fee may apply.
How do my humans get the photos?
Your humans will receive a private gallery link with your images in high-resolution JPG format. The link will stay active for 30 days, so they should download and save everything before it disappears.
